The McNally Bump

Well this morning I turned on my computer and went to read my stats for my webpage, it was there that I realized the power of the “McNally Bump”. My traffic went from a modest 15-20 viewers a day to 200 yesterday. Joe made an amazing post about his trip to Vancouver, our photo community and most importantly, for Taryn & I, a second family portrait. I’ve posted both below. The first one was taken when Taryn was 4 months pregnant. It’s so awesome to have family portraits by Joe McNally to hang on our walls!

Here is one of my favorite shots from the week of working with Joe. Joe explains the shot the best in his blog entry. However, I’ll just add. Having the safety of a guy like Joe, 3 skaters, 2 assistants and the other people on the road should not be under estimated.

Tomorrow, Friday, is the opening of “In an Instant – Contemporary Poleroids” show at the PhotoHaus Gallery. Check the link for all the info, and please check out the show, there will be beer!
The Winter Salon opens Dec 10^th with photographs price to sell!!! There are more than 30 photographers in the show, this event can’t be missed. Unfortunately Taryn, Hanna & I leave for Ontario before the opening, so I will miss it… but you shouldn’t!

Also tomorrow, Barrie Jones, my photo professor from University of Windsor, is having an opening  from 3- 9 at Becker Galleries, behind Emily Carr at Pier32  #210-1333 Johnston St. You’ll get to see me star in a few large photographs that Barrie shot a few years ago.
